UPDATE

It's official!

On Saturday, October 11th, ECC East Coast Conference Associate Superintendent and Director of Church Planting, Jason Condon came to do a one-day training event with our Launch Team. As part of that training, because we had successfully met our three benchmarks, we signed our official Church Planter's Covenant Agreement. This means that we now have three years, with the resources and support of the ECC to plant a healthy, self-sustaining church.

We couldn't have done this without the amazing support and prayers of all of you who read these updates, our Launch Team who gave sacrificially and invited widely, Community Covenant Church who have stood by us and with us for this entire process and the ECC who believed in our vision and have put the full weight of their support behind us.

On a personal note, I owe an incredible debt of gratitude to my amazing wife, Min Cha, who in addition to being our family's primary source of income and full-time mom to our two young boys, has been such an amazing partner in ministry and supporter of all my crazy schemes and plans. There have been many travel days, sick days, evenings away and stressful "what are we doing?" moments. Through it all, she has been faithful, hopeful and ever-patient. She should totally be in the picture above and it's my brain-fart that led to her being out of the building while we signed. So let these words state it clearly, we would not be planting this church if not for her. Min Cha Han, you are amazing and I'm so thankful for you!

So what's next?

Well, now that it's official, we are in the preview service stage. Over the next few months, we will be holding monthly public services. Our first service is tentatively scheduled for November 15th at 10:00 am at the University Mall Theatre in Fairfax. There are still many details to be ironed out, materials and equipment to be purchased and signs to be printed, but we are excited that this process is underway. Stay tuned for when we confirm this date and time.

While we do these monthly preview services, we will continue to add to our Launch Team and if all goes well, do an official "hard launch" on Easter 2016!

So would you pray with us as we enter this new phase? Would you continue to give financially and should it be a good fit, consider joining our Launch Team?

We are ever so grateful for your partnership in the Gospel. Stay tuned for more details regarding these preview services.

Blessings,

Mike
