October Update

Fall is in the air. Cooler weather, leaves and changing and of course, lots of pumpkin-spiced this and that.

We're excited for this season as we are re-engaging our ministry with more clarity and focus than ever before! The summer was a good time of resting, re-visiting our core values and enjoying lots of time enjoying the weather, but we are ready to engage our neighbors and community with the good news that Jesus is King and that an invitation has been extended to all of us to learn the way of Jesus together.

We've really come to love our new space and after making the shift to a 4:30 pm service time, we really think we've hit a good rhythm with our Sunday Service.

Building off of the momentum from our big Neighborhood Block Party in August, we've seen our community really try some fun ways to connect with their own neighborhoods. Two quick examples include an impromptu driveway barbecue where many neighbors met for the first time and multiple movie nights where friends and neighbors were brought together to enjoy each other's company. People are leveraging their time and resources to create community and it's a beautiful thing to behold.

After a transition month in September, October kicked off the start of our fall rhythm. This includes a Fall Retreat at nearby Kent Island, MD, bi-weekly Table Groups (informal dinner parties where all are invited to sit around the table and share their highs and lows from the week), a Pre-Service Bible Study in the Gospel of Mark, a Women's Bible Study and an Exploration of Christianity course.

October also marked the beginning of our third year as a church plant of the Evangelical Covenant Church. This means that we have one more year of funding remaining. We are confident that we are growing and developing in the right ways, but are also hopeful that our giving will increase to the point where we can be truly financially sustainable by the end of this third year.

If you would like to support us for the year or make a gift to help us get over the hump, we'd be deeply appreciative. You can find all the giving options at:  www.tablecov.org/give

As always, we are so thankful for your prayers and support. Thank you for helping us lean into our newly clarified identity as a church "learning the way of Jesus together".

Blessings,

Mike
